At Quinta do Cerval, in the heart of the Douro Superior, we seek the balance of maturation, so that we can obtain blended wines from several varieties, with a fine, elegant and fresh matrix, with great potential for aging in the bottle.
Quinta do Cerval, in Vila Nova de Foz Côa, was a project started in 2001, after more than thirty deeds, which brought together more than 160 ha. It currently has about 50 ha of selected vineyards, irrigated directly from the Douro River and distributed in plots dominated by the Touriga Nacional variety, but where several plots of Sousão, Touriga Franca, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz, Barroca were also planted. and Alicante Bouschet, which each year make up our Grandes Quintas, Casa d’Arrochella Reserva and, in special years, our premium Cerval blends .
